The Bugatti Galibier Comes Back As The Classic Royale

Bugatti is to moving on to bigger and better things! After it’s conquered success with the Veyron, Galibier, the latest concept sedan that was formed last year is going to be rereleasing the whip, however, with a new name. Reports are saying that when the car debuts in exclusive showrooms it will be revived as the classic Royale nameplate.

The Royale was designed in the height of lavish design, pumping a 12.7-liter straight eight into a 21-foot limousine; even stronger than a Royce Phantom. Creator, Ettore Bugatti intended to promote the vehicle to the heads of state, but unfortunately when the Depression came about, sales drove down, only producing a total of six cars.

The Royale that celebrated its 80th birthday in back in ’07, along with five of the six cars that existed, gathered up for the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK. Now if only the 800-horsepower, sixteen-cylinder Galibier would be in the works as the Royale sometime next year, it would mark the original’s 85th anniversary for Bugatti. Any who, we’ll just have to sit tight to find out what’s next for Bugatti.
