Book Signing Party: Hyperrealist Sculptor Carole A. Feuerman

Survival of Serena Pink Cap

This week, National Hotel will transform into an art lover’s paradise. In collaboration with the Design District’s Markowicz Fine Art, this art deco staple will become a temporary art gallery for Carole A. Feuerman – a hyperrealist sculptor and the originator of the “painting with fire” technique, where she pours, splatters and splashes six or more different molten metals to create unique art. Not to be missed? “The Golden Mean,” a 16-foot male diver statue representing the struggles to achieve perfect balance; and “Survival of Serena,” Feuerman’s first sculpture in a series of painted bronze pieces. And to really celebrate her arrival (and of course, Art Basel), National Hotel will host an exclusive celebration and book signing party with Feuerman on Wednesday, where attendees will get signed copies of her new book, Swimmers, and enjoy one-of-a-kind art displays throughout the hotel, live entertainment, and cocktails and bites from Tamara Bistro. National Hotel is located at 1677 Collins Avenue. Feuerman’s designs will be up at the hotel from December 2nd to December 6th. During the book signing party, lithographs will be available for sale from 10 PM to 11 PM. (Wednesday, December 2nd, 9 PM – Midnight)

And to welcome the exhibit to the 2015 edition of Art Basel Miami Beach in style, Swerdlow Art Group invites all to attend an opening reception at Miami Ironside’s main event space.
