Located at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Kuro is an opulent haven of new-style Japanese cuisine like nothing South Florida diners have ever tasted before. Helmed by Executive Chef Alex Becker and Executive Sushi Chef Shuji Hiyakawa, Kuro sets itself apart from the food scene with handcrafted dishes made exclusively with classic Japanese techniques, locally sourced foods, and fresh ingredients coming to Chef Alex’s kitchen straight from Japan. And as if that weren’t enough, Kuro will impress guests even further with this Saturday’s “The Chef’s Palate” event – a one-night-only Friends of James Beard Benefit dinner featuring a menu of delectable plates by Chef Alex and his talented friends: James Beard Award-winners and nominees Robert Irvine, Norman Van Aken, Allen Susser, Christopher Lee and Dahila Narvaez.
Starting at 7:30 PM, the night will kick-off with a fabulous, invitation-only VIP cocktail reception at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel’s L Bar, where select guests will have the opportunity to mingle with the night’s emcee, everyone’s favorite celebrity chef and Food Network star, Robert Irvine. Afterwards, they will join other guests at Kuro for the main event: a decadent, five-course dinner with each course made by one of the renowned participating chefs; followed by a Q&A with the chefs themselves, and to top it all off, a silent auction where guests can bid on a luxury Seminole Hard Rock Hotel package. An elegant evening with a worthy cause, all proceeds from this Saturday’s festivities will benefit the James Beard Foundation – an organization that has been celebrating, nurturing, and honoring America’s diverse culinary heritage through programs that educate and inspire since 1986.
