The latest passion project of Executive Chef/Partner Jamie DeRosa, Izzy’s Fish & Oyster is named after DeRosa’s daughter, Isabela, and pays homage to childhood memories of summers spent on New England shores. It’s decked out in reclaimed wood and lobster-trap mesh, and serves up Chef de Cuisine William Crandall’s lobster rolls, fried clams and different kids of oysters. It’s a piece of idyllic Cape Cod, right here in our South of Fifth neighborhood.

Now, for a limited time only, Izzy’s Fish & Oyster is amping up its fresh seafood menu with a New England summer staple: clam bakes. Served family-style each Wednesday through the beginning of April, this new SoFi favorite is giving Miami’s seafood lovers a taste of an authentic New England tradition worth “shellabrating.”

What’s on the menu? We’re glad you asked. For the main course, guests will enjoy a combination of clams, lobster, mussels and shrimp, as well as potatoes, corn and chorizo – all stewing in a broth of seaweed, herbs and more. It comes with local Zellwood corn, Rhode Island “Stuffies,” or stuffed quahogs, Narragansett Beer & Del’s Lemonade shandy, and a cup of another New England classic: Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

Izzy’s Fish & Oyster is located at 423 Washington Avenue. The weekly clam bake costs $35 per person, and takes place each Wednesday through April 6th, from 6 PM to 11 PM.

Dinner is served daily starting at 6 PM, and “Happy Hour” runs from 5 to 7 PM daily. Rosé Brunch is available every Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM.
