Bo Derek Comes Together To Fix Georgia Pets and More

Actress and community advocate Bo Derek recently spent the day in Atlanta charming so many people with her radiant beauty and most importantly her enormous heart. She started her day with a meet and greet at Boxwood’s and then moved over to cool Brookhaven pet boutique, City Dog Atlanta where she showcased her must-try pet shampoo and conditioner. Bo Derek Pet Care is a product line for dogs including shampoo, conditioner and tearless face wash. Each of the products contain exotic botanicals including meadow foam oil and amino acids to nourish, soothes and protect the coat.

These fly off the shelves because they do an expert job at really getting your pooch good and clean. And as an extra incentive, Bo Derek Pet Care donates a portion of each sale to organizations dedicated to serving military dogs. Personally, after reading about this special formulation and reading the fabulous reviews, we purchased the product from her website. Works great!

6th Annual Come Together Gala to Fix Georgia Pets Featuring Bo Derek

After spending her day promoting her pet care products, she focused her attention to a cause true to her heart: Fix Georgia Pets. Fix Georgia Pets.

Fix Georgia Pets was honored to have Bo Derek, iconic American beauty, film actress and animal rights activist, as the  special guest for their annual Come Together” Gala which took place on  Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the home of Fix Georgia Pets founder Ginny Millner and her husband Guy Millner. Co-chaired by Joanne Chesler Gross and Alison Womack Jowers, the evening featured a buffet-style dinner and cocktails for over 150 patrons including a live and silent auction which took place under the tent on the gorgeous grounds of the Millner’s home.

But the real treat was for the 40 top donors who were treated to a private dinner before the main event with Bo Derek. Taking place in the ballroom of the Millner’s home, these VIP guests enjoyed conversation with the animal activist and iconic beauty and a wonderful meal amidst the stunning decor by Tony Brewer. Both the buffet and the private seated dinner were expertly prepared by Mary Hathaway of Soiree Catering and Events.

The evening also honored a huge donor and supporter, Marilyn Krone, pictured with her family below.

During the evening, Bo Derek praised Fix Georgia Pets for focusing on a true solution to the pet overpopulation crisis through spay and neuter programs.

These programs will prevent animals from ending up in shelters and thereby save animals. She also spoke about her efforts at ending the market for endangered animal products throughout the world. Here are some pictures from the successful evening.

Bo Derek has shown a lifelong commitment to promote animal welfare in the US and abroad having served as National Spokesperson for The Humane Society of the United States Disaster Relief and is Special Envoy of the Secretary of State for Wildlife Trafficking. Traveling the globe on behalf of the United States and the Coalition Against Wildlife Trafficking, a multinational coalition of member countries, Bo is working to fight black market trafficking of endangered species. In her efforts to protect endangered animals, Bo serves on the board of WildAid; a non-governmental organization uniquely focused on raising awareness to reduce the demand for threatened and endangered species products, and to increase public support of wildlife conservation.
