This past Saturday, New York Times best selling author and ASPCA ambassador Katherine Schwarzenegger celebrated her new children’s book about the importance of pet adoption—“Maverick and Me”—at luxe dog boutique Charlie & Me in Newport Beach, Calif. We caught up with the author, who was promoting her book and helping puppies find homes in conjunction with I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue, who dished on her holiday picks for the most luxurious gifts to get every truly pampered pooch. Check out her guide below!

Sleek and chic for anyone’s home. Look like nice additional piece of furniture so it doesn’t stand out like a traditional dog bed – it’s like a new take on something every dog needs.
The concrete bowl is perfect for anyone with more modern interior design taste. The bowl has clean lines and doesn’t stand out. Something I’d definitely use in my own home.
The football toy is perfect for the sport loving dogs like Maverick and especially any families who are into football. It’s black and matches everything.
I’m a big believer in accessorizing your animals. Maverick has a bunch of bow ties and sweaters he wears. This is a great new faux leather jacket to rock in fall and winter months when it’s colder. Great to go on walks through LA while still looking stylish.
This black leather bone collar is very different and cool. Great for the edgier dog. Something I’m going to purchase today!
These “Bribe” treats are a perfect stalking stuffer. As they they said – you gotta throw the dog a bone – especially on Christmas Day!
