The Tiffany & Co. pop-up in Los Angeles has been generating a lot of buzz and in San Francisco, the brand has been getting plenty of attention too. Earlier this week, Tiffany & Co. hosted a flashy event in honor of the San Francisco Symphony. The soirée was in anticipation of the Symphony’s Chinese New Year concert and imperial dinner which takes place on February 24. Tiffany is a sponsor of the dinner which brings together over 500 of the region’s most significant business and philanthropic leaders in the Asian-American community.

Some of these people mingled with the SF social set on Wednesday night at the Tiffany cocktail party. Guests included Federico Sandino, the director of Tiffany San Francisco and members of the committee hosting the Symphony event in February—Cecilia Chiang, Margaret Liu Collins, Iris Chan, and Sharon Juang.

Other notable attendees? Allison Speer, Sonya Molodetskaya, and Rada Katz. The stylish crowd was greeted with glasses of William Fevre Chablis and Veuve Clicquot Champagne. Passed appetizers were Chinese-inspired: mini mu shu bundles, lobster wonton, hoisin glazed duck breast on rice cakes, wild mushroom spring rolls, and five spiced hangar steak.
Tickets for the 18th annual Chinese New Year concert and Imperial dinner are now on sale. Ring in the year of the dog at the elaborate celebration which is being dedicated to the late mayor, Ed Lee. The family-friendly event begins Saturday at 2 p.m. with a festive reception with arts and crafts, lion dancing, games, and complimentary bites. The show begins at 3 p.m. and features the Chinese dragon dance, traditional folk music, and works by Asian composers. The dinner is after the concert at 5 p.m. in Zellerbach Rehearsal Hall. Proceeds from the performance and meal benefit the Symphony’s education and community programs.
