You’d be surprised to find out that Las Vegas locals can be anti-social sometimes. The frustration is running into everyone everywhere. It’s a small city, after all, a town even. It makes leaving the house in the least impressive but equally comfortable outfit impossible. When Las Vegas locals finally muster up the energy to get dressed, they run into so and so that works at such and such who knows you know who. Sometimes dinner minus the usual friendly faces is needed and not just for locals but for everyone else visiting. Below are some of the best hideaway restaurants in Las Vegas if you too want to avoid being seen when you’re in town.
1. LACAVE WINE & FOOD HIDEAWAY

The sun brightens up the place during the day, but the magic begins at night. LaCave transforms itself quite literally into the perfect hideaway. It has an entire lakeside view to enjoy over a flatbread, charcuterie board, and bottle of wine. It’s very reminiscent of a vintners go-to spot to enjoy and pair the wine he or she has created.
2. MB STEAK

As is the same vibe of LaCave at MB Steak, which is owned by the same owner coincidently. Well, one of the two. Michael Morton owns LaCave. Michael and his brother, David Morton, own MB Steak. The new steakhouse at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is romantically lit and intimate with a play on space from maroon walls and rich brown interior accents. Plus, it has its own private valet entrance away casino’s valet.
3. BEAUTY AND ESSEX

TAO Group’s properties do a brilliant job at intimate and reclusive dining. Beauty and Essex is a restaurant disguised as a pawn shop. Behind the left door next to the pawnshop counter is the dining area. The narrow space design of Beauty and Essex gives off the illusion of running miles deep upon opening. Most importantly, the lighting is genius in that it’s dark enough to see your food, the person in front of you, and next to you, and no mas. It’s sexy, too.
4. LAVO

The other TAO Group property that has the same effect is LAVO except it’s arguably better. Its doors are wide-opened, and it’s past the main entrance of the Palazzo. But, what makes LAVO the ideal dinner hideaway of the two is its attention to night-capping convenience. Why travel to an overtly crowded nightlife venue when you can seclude yourself to their upstairs lounge?
5. THE BARRYMORE

Little is know about the hidden spot known as The Barrymore. If you ask the locals about this place, they may not be able to tell you much or if at all. But, that’s what makes it all the more appealing. This restaurant has the right blend of luxury and mystery. The type of place where you picture Tony Brancato and Tony Trombino having a steak and wine after pulling off their successful heist of the Flamingo in 1951 (not that we condone it of course). It’s located at the overlooked off-the-strip hotel Royal Resort. NEVER judge a book by its cover.
