Tory Burch’s Fall 2018 collection took us on a romantic detour from her signature uptown preppy styles to an ultra-feminine bohemian vision. Models glided down a garden-themed runway blanketed with pink carnations in this flower-child inspired collection – giving the show a definitive Woodstock-y vibe. Dresses donned with sheer layers, ruffles, and fall-worthy florals gave the collection depth and interest, exuding modern romance for the modern woman.

The Fall romance trend continued with Jason Wu’s collection, but Wu distinguished his feminine, flowy designs by upping the drama factor with a more sophisticated, baroque style. Sheer fabrics got a pop of sparkle with rhinestone embellishments. Plisse pleats added texture to tailored dresses and felt fresh and light on a fall-weather coat.

Tailored blazers and trousers mixed in seamlessly with the more romantic pieces to create a collection to cover every part of a chic woman’s life. While the show opened in a more muted palette, Wu transitioned into show-stopping green and pinks in shining satins that looked especially cool in a Matrix-inspired long trench coat.

Celebrating 10 years, boss babes Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs brought their statement glamour and sexiness to the NYFW runway. Established in 2008, Cushnie et Ochs is designed by women, for women. Carly and Michelle’s creative vision pushes the limits of their unique sensibilities, creating collections that juxtapose bold sensuality with minimalist sophistication.

Exuding a raw, yet refined sense of femininity, Cushnie et Ochs focuses on clean lines and the perfect fit.The team turned it out with their signature cut-outs on fitted sheath dresses and jumpsuits. Each look was monochromatic in shades of white, black and mauve with a bright pop of neon pink in the middle of the collection. Fringe detailing on a wide leg trouser added an unexpected twist to tailored suit look and like previous shows, satin made an appearance feeling extra sexy and shimmery in deep V silhouettes.
