Alex Rodriguez Introduces TruFusion Fitness Concept To His Hometown Of Miami

Former New York Yankee (and one-half celebrity super couple, J-Rod) Alex Rodriguez is bringing his new fitness concept, TruFusion, to his hometown of Miami. The multi-studio, 11,000 square foot destination revolutionizes the boutique fitness concept, with 65 different workouts—such as yoga, Pilates, bootcamps, boxing, Barre, kettlebell, battle ropes, aerial and cycling—under one roof in both heated and non-heated rooms. TruFusion Gables, as the name suggests, will open its doors in Miami’s Coral Gables neighborhood, and will be the first East Coast location of the brand, with its latest destination being in Scottsdale, Arizona.

“TruFusion is changing group fitness forever and it’s fast becoming the new standard for the way people work out,” began Rodriguez. “I’m so excited to bring TruFusion to the city I grew up in, and I know my friends and fans in Miami will love the experience, too.”

As a current investor and board member in the TruFusion brand, A-Rod’s passion for the workout facility began last year in Las Vegas, where he had his first workout and quickly became a fan. With one single membership, TruFusion members will have unlimited access to several different workout classes, suitable for a variety of fitness levels, preferences and personal goals (some classes giving members the ability burn up to 800 calories!). Classes include Tru Bootcamp (a combination of Pilates, yoga and kettlebell exercises), Tru Hot Barre (a combination of yoga, Pilates, cardio and ballet) and the ‘R-Rated’ Down ‘N’ Dirty Bootcamp, which is a version of the Tru Barefoot Bootcamp with some “fun bump-and-grind layered in.”

In addition to the bevy of appealing exercise options, TruFusion Gables will also have access to high-end locker rooms with spa-like amenities, an onsite shop with trendy fitness and “athleisure” clothing, as well as an overall upscale aesthetic and pristine finishes. A café with indoor and outdoor seating will also feature healthy eats, such as wraps, salads, energy snacks, juices and smoothies, as well as wine and beer.

With a large emphasis on community, TruFusion is led by an expert team alongside Rodriguez, which includes TruFusion Co-Founder and CEO Mike Borden, developer Mark Advent and Karina Frangulyan. “TruFusion is like nothing else in the fitness industry. The wide variety of workout options makes the experience fun, challenging and addictive as the more I workout the better I feel,” began Advent. “Karina and I have really enjoyed being part of Alex and Mike’s TruFusion ever-growing family and vision. It’s been amazing working with Alex, who has an electrifying passion for fitness and business.”
