Dr. Christine Bishara is the founder of From Within Medical, a medical wellness practice that places emphasis on the mind-body and gut-brain axis to prevent and manage disease. With over 20 years of clinical experience, time and time again, Dr. Bishara has discovered that the connection between these systems plays a significant role in disease prevention and management, but it has not been adequately addressed. Haute Beauty sits down with Dr. Bishara to learn more about boosting your immunity through IV Therapy.

HB: What is IV therapy?

IV therapy is the delivery of vitamins and supplements through an IV infusion. This allows for quicker and better absorption of these important nutrients.

HB: What is the importance of maintaining immunity and how does IV therapy help to do that?

Our immune system is our first line of defense against anything our body perceives as an intruder, including infections. It’s important to support it as much as we can since we don’t always get the important nutrients we need through diet.

HB: What are the different types of IV therapy that you offer?

I offer IV boosts that help with immunity, weight loss, vitamin deficiencies, or ones that naturally brighten the skin.

HB: What are the benefits of each?

Since each IV boost contains different components, the benefits vary, but for example. I give an IV boost of Glutathione, Vitamin C and Vitamin B complex to help support the immune system. Other immune boosts use other specific natural supplements that help with weight loss and appetite. Our IV skin boost gives a mega dose of natural anti-oxidants to brighten the skin.

HB: What is the treatment process like?

The treatment process is simple and involves a simple screening to determine the best IV therapy based on an individual’s needs, and then it is injected through an IV placement--usually in the arm. Most of the immune boosts I give are pushes, but patients can also opt for IV boosts with added hydration in the form of an IV drip.

HB: How often should someone get IV therapy?

This varies depending on the type of IV therapy, but for example, my most popular IV therapy, the IV Immune Boost should be given every 3-4 weeks.

HB: What is the cost?

Cost varies based on the type of IV therapy, but is usually $99-$300
