Skip The Slopes This Weekend And Warm Up At Publico’s Apres Ski Pop-Up

Consider this your lift ticket out of this weekend’s cold weather. Instead of trekking to Vermont to hit the slopes at Stowe, warm up at Publico Street Bistro & Garden‘s new apres ski pop-up to survive the Boston winter in style.

Tonight’s the night The Lodge at Publico, an apres ski pop up bar tucked inside Publico Street Bistro & Garden, will officially open in the restaurant’s interior atrium. From now through March (on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 6 p.m.), you can warm up at this haute spot complete with fire pits, cozy flannel blankets and comfortable plush pillows. The newly transformed interior garden and courtyard space space will be adorned with faux moose and deer heads, retro signage, skis, sleds and even an artificial snow machine to recreate a true alpine experience without ever having to leave Boston.

Snack on some of Executive Chef Keenan Langlois’ authentic post slope bites like the triple diamond slope sliders topped with aged cheddar and grilled onions or spiced up white heat fried mac and cheese balls made with sweet habanero peppers and manchego cheese. Warm up with hearty comfort food dishes like the grilled Vermont “shreddar” cheese and tomato soup, alpine aranchini or White Mountain pizza.

Sip on one of their winter cocktails under the retractable roof and warm up with a hot toddy, hot buttered rum made with house butter batter, spiked hot chocolate, winter’s mule or shot-skis (designed for groups of four).

Over the winter, Publico will be gearing up to celebrate the lodge in haute style with screenings of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games next month and a pop up make-your-own hot cocoa bar. This just might be the best way to snuggle up this winter.

Reservations are recommended so be sure to call in advance to reserve a spot.
