New mom and How to Get Away with Murder actress Aja Naomi King took to Instagram on Sunday to celebrate her post-baby body with a backyard photoshoot.

“No, this is not a pregnancy Before picture,” King captioned her post. “This is the After. After days of labor. After experiencing what felt like my insides being ripped apart, no lie. After experiencing the unimaginable beauty of childbirth, this is what is left behind. This Gorgeous Body! So in celebration of myself and my body for “Doing the Damn Thing," I wanted to share this photo. No makeup, no editing, no filters (and you know I love a filter!)...Just Me...a woman in awe of her Body and her Baby!”

The 36-year-old actress first announced her pregnancy in March. At the time, she revealed on Instagram that she previously suffered two miscarriages. “I really can't begin to express the fullness of our immense joy to be welcoming a baby into our family,” she wrote in the caption of her photo. “And I won’t lie, it’s been hard to not carry my fear with me throughout this pregnancy.… But I try to not ignore the facts, and the facts are that I am healthy and my baby is healthy, my baby is growing and now kicking and constantly reminding me of their very real presence within me."

Earlier this month, the L'Oréal Paris spokesmodel shared her excitement toward becoming a new mother to her “beautiful little rainbow baby,” the name she previously called her unborn child on Instagram. “Right now I am embarking on the most important project of my life: giving birth to this baby,” King told PEOPLE. “I'm so grateful that I was able to get pregnant and sustain this pregnancy, and I'm hoping for a safe and happy birth.”

Before she announced her pregnancy, King managed to film her latest role in Boxing Day, which will hit cinemas near Christmas this year. “I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to do this project because my morning sickness had only just started winding down, as well as the fact that I wasn't sharing my pregnancy with anyone yet and being pregnant on set during a pandemic seemed terrifying,” King said. “But it all worked out in this really beautiful way, and I'm so happy I was able to share in this experience.”
