It's not every day that one has the opportunity to sit down with the person who put into motion the face workout movement in Miami! In conversation with Haute Beauty, the Founder of Face Fit Bar, Lana Mar highlights how the 'face workout concept' came into fruition and how education and her Botox experience have been a guiding factor in progressing not just her career, but the development of the Signature Hybrid massage to replace fillers and Botox. Here is what Lana Mar shared in this Q & A session:
My greatest achievement:
Developing a ‘face workout concept ‘that can be a natural alternative to fillers and Botox. Face Fit Bar brings facials out of the box and out of the room. We focus on Face Lifts without a needle, using innovative technologies in combination with ancient techniques and luxury organic skincare to sculpt and visibly lift facial muscles. This noninvasive treatment tones, tightens, and sculpts 42 facial muscles, using high-energy massage movements and cutting-edge technology.
What is the future of your field?
Breaking the stereotype of beauty by becoming not just a brand but a movement. Social media created an image of a 'perfect' woman, which took away confidence from millions of beautiful women. I was constantly hearing from my clients about their imperfections and how they want to change this or that to match the look of a magazine cover model. Well, guess what? 'Nobody's perfect,' just like Madonna said in her hit song.
Being surrounded by these comments, had me break the stereotype of plastics, once and for all. Anyways, the ocean has enough of it. To develop the change, I ask you/ What is beauty? Is it a pathetic way of measuring your worth? Who is the Miss Perfect? Is she a 6-ft tall pale supermodel with sky-high cheekbones and a small nose? Or a sunkissed brunette with curves and plump lips? The answer is really simple...

What is your most memorable patient reaction?
I love seeing the most dramatic before and after. To see the difference, I always perform the treatment on one side of the face at a time. My first-time client was scheduled to do a surgical face lift in California when this visit to Face Lift Bar changed her mind. When she came in I drained fluids, performed a sculpting massage and microcurrent, cold therapy, and Gua Sha. All of these treatments in combination provided such outstanding results that she had tears in her eyes. Muscles have memory and if you don't use them, you loose them. The fact that we can't train our facial muscles in the gym, doesn't mean it's impossible. I am so thrilled that my first-time client walked away complete!
