What is your greatest achievement?
Xanadu Med Spa is one of the fastest-growing practices in Northern Colorado due to our unparalleled attention to detail and the client experience. We are proud to have more than doubled our footprint in just 2.5 years, an outcome of the gathering of a team of individuals who truly believe in the work they do.
What is the future of your field?
Med Esthetics is on the rise as we usher in Millenials to this conversation. The reality is that so many members of both Gen X and Baby Boomers waited until the “damage was done” to start their treatments. Millennials, however, seem to have a stronger grasp of the concept of preventative maintenance. Because of this rise in demand, the industry has risen up to meet it and technology improvements continue to roll out at an unprecedented pace.
What is the biggest misconception about your field?
I would say there are actually two. One, is that individuals can not afford Med Esthetics. Two, is that this is for women only. The increase of men in this space is outpacing the increase of new clients as a whole.
What are your most requested procedures?
Botox and Fillers absolutely lead the way. But body sculpting (CoolSculpting and BodyFX), non-invasive facelifts (Ultherapy), Hormone Replacement, and lasers (Laser Hair removal and facial procedures) come in close behind. On the day spa-side it is absolutely our Signature Facial and Massages.

What surgical advancements are you most excited about?
The Opus Plasma! We are onboarding this new device yet this month. As the first-of-its-kind fractional plasma technology, Opus Plasma represents a new chapter for energy-based devices, addressing global or localized textural and skin quality concerns often corrected with conventional fractional resurfacing lasers in the past. It exceeds the outcomes of RF Microneedling and can achieve similar outcomes as a CO2 without the downtime.
What are you best known for?
Customer Care and Service. So many clients come here after receiving treatments at other med spas indicating that they left because the staff just didn’t seem to “care”. We build relationships with our clients and they become part of our Xanadu Family.
What is your most memorable patient reaction?
We had a bride-to-be with severe acne scarring. She came in hoping for texture changes to her skin. After a treatment regiment that included micro-needling, laser genesis, and at-home product care, she came in and just cried, thanking us for our work. She advocated that she didn’t know she could look this beautiful.
What sets your practice apart?
In addition to the client care and concern mentioned earlier, it would be the vast number of services we provide. We have over 100 different service offerings for clients with a wide range of clinical outcome opportunities.
What do you love most about your profession?
It’s a profession where we get to help people feel good about themselves. And that always feels good for us as well. It’s like watching people open gifts on Christmas morning when they see significant improvement and transformation in their own bodies. They get so excited. It is extremely heartwarming to know we did that for them.
What new services are you excited to offer?
We have just onboarded the OxyGeneo+ Facial (people are loving it) and we have the Opus Plasma on its way to us. Additionally we are rolling out new menu options for Facials come Jan. 1 of 2021.
